DOJ Solicits Applications for FY 2011 Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program
The Office on Violence Against Women in the Department of Justice is now seeking applications for the Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program. The LAV Grant Program is intended to increase the availability of civil and criminal legal assistance necessary to provide effective aid to adult and youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, or sexual assault who are seeking relief in legal matters arising as a consequence of that abuse or violence. Fair Housing Initiatives Program Application Deadline Approaching: December 21, 2010
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently announced that approximately $40.75 million in FY 2010 funds are available under three initiatives of the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP): Private Enforcement Education and Outreach and the Fair Housing Organization Initiatives. FHIP grantees provide assistance to individuals who believe they have been victims of housing discrimination.

The Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Aging recently launched a new Web site for the National Legal Resource Center. This Web site provides support resources for legal and aging service providers. Under the “Resources” tab, the site links to funding information for organizations working in Elder law. Administration on Aging Offers New Funding Opportunity
The Administration on Aging (AoA) issued a request for proposals for up to 11 New Model Approaches to Statewide Legal Assistance Systems projects funded at up to $100,000 each.
