The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently released guidance that will assist Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) grantees with data collection for victim service providers. HUD determined that victim service providers should not enter client data directly into the Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) but should use a "comparable database". The guidance is available in the Resource Library on HUD's Homelessness Resource Exchange or by clicking on the link to the pdf within this message.
NLADA continues consult with HUD about HMIS data collection requirements for legal services providers and submitted the attached memo on the matter.
